Community encouraged to provide input into Movement and Place Strategy

Greater Shepparton City Council is developing a Movement and Place Strategy to guide transport and land use decisions over the next 20 years and beyond.

Council is seeking community input to inform an initial discussion paper identifying key transport issues and opportunities in Shepparton.

Council’s Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam encourages people to provide their thoughts.

“Transport and mobility play a central role in ensuring the long term social, cultural and economic success of Greater Shepparton,” Mr Rajaratnam said.

“The strategy will consider key transport issues within the context of Greater Shepparton’s opportunities, aspirations and challenges including pedestrians, cycling, public transport, roads, car parking, freight, land use planning, and urban design.”
