Anyone who lives, works or plays in Toolamba or Dhurringile is encouraged to have their say and help shape the future of their community.
The Toolamba Community Plan, was developed in 2011 and five years on, the community are reviewing their Community Plan as a number of priorities identified in the plan have been achieved. Some of their achievements include an historical directory sign, sealed car park and masterplan for the recreation reserve and 0-5 years playground.
The Draft Dhurringile Plan was recently developed following extensive consultation with the Dhurringile community. More than 60 people have contributed ideas and suggestions towards the plan, so do not miss your opportunity to submit your feedback on the draft before it is finalised.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson said Council had 15 endorsed plans for towns, neighbourhoods and localities across Greater Shepparton, with Dhurringile becoming the 16th.
“Community planning is important as it empowers our communities to drive their own development and identify their own priorities for their town,” Ms Thomson said.
“If you are involved in either the Toolamba or Dhurringile communities, I encourage you to have your say and help shape the plan.
“Keep your eye out for opportunities to get involved through a number of consultation activities.”
Toolamba - Feedback will be received until Wednesday 6 July.
Dhurringile - Feedback will be received until Friday 1 July
