Construction underway on Mooroopna Community Storage Facility

Construction has commenced on a new community storage facility at the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve.

The storage sheds will be located next to Pee Wee Young Oval at the end of the service road and will provide a secure location for recreation reserve user groups to store equipment.

Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure Steve Bowmaker said works will be undertaken Monday-Friday to limit inconvenience to facility users on weekends.

“This facility will provide recreation reserve users and local service clubs with a central and secure location to store their equipment,” Mr Bowmaker said.

“The sheds will also provide an undercover area for patrons watching sporting activities to the north and west of the sheds.

“It is expected that construction will be completed in about 12 weeks.”
