The draft Tatura Structure Plan was released for community consultation earlier this month and Greater Shepparton City Council is encouraging all stakeholders to continue their involvement in the project by sharing their thoughts.
The document envisages Tatura as a standout regional community that continues to embrace its rich country town character, while progressively providing more housing that is affordable, diverse and sustainable.
Due to local demand, community consultation on the draft Tatura Structure Plan has been extended for an additional two weeks, and will now close on Friday, 18 June 2021.
The draft Structure Plan will guide the future development of land to the north, north-east, and east of the township, which will progressively occur over the next 30 years to meet the anticipated growth of the town to 6,500 residents.
The draft Structure Plan was initially authorised for exhibition for five weeks between Monday, 3 May and Friday, 4 June at the April Ordinary Council Meeting. This has since been extended to Friday, 18 June to allow residents additional time to make a submission.
Information on the Tatura Structure Plan can be found at Council’s website here..
The three draft background reports and the draft Structure Plan layout have been made available for the community to view. Council encourages landowners and residents in Tatura to contact Council officers with any queries and to make a submission to the plan.
Submissions can be made in the following ways:
