Greater Shepparton City Council will be closed from 3pm, Thursday 24 December and will re-open at 8.15am, Monday 4 January 2016. For emergencies in this time, please phone (03) 5832 9700 and follow the prompts.
Waste Services
Collections which normally take place on Friday will take place on Saturday. This applies for collections scheduled on Friday 24 December and Friday 1 January.
This applies for Christmas and New Years weeks only.
Transfer Stations
Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre will close at 3pm on Thursday 24 December and is closed 25 December, 26 December and 1 January 2016.
Changed hours of operation apply (9am-4-30pm) for 28 December Boxing Day Holiday.
Ardmona Resource Recovery Centre will close at 3pm on Thursday 24 and 31 December and is closed 26 December.
Aquamoves
Aquamoves will be closed on Christmas Day (Friday 25 December). All other days are all follows:
Saturday 26 December 8.30am - 5.00pm
Sunday 27 December 8.30am - 9.00pm
Monday 28 December 8.30am - 5.00pm
Tuesday 29 December 6.00am – 9.00pm
Wednesday 30 December 6.00am - 9.00pm
Thursday 31 December 6.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 1 January 2016
Outdoor pools – Merrigum, Mooroopna, Tatura
Merrigum, Mooroopna and Tatura outdoor pools will be closed on Christmas Day.
On Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, New Year’s Day, Boxing Day and the Boxing Day holiday the pools will operate from 12.00pm to 5.00pm each day.

SPC KidsTown
The SPC KidsTown Playground is open for all school holidays from dawn to dusk, the KidsTown Cafe and the Miniature Train will be closed on 25 and 26 of December (Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
Summer School Holiday operational hours: The Miniature Train will operate from 11.00am to 3.00pm and the café will open from 10.00am to 4.00pm each day.

Riverlinks
The Riverlinks Box Office will close at 3pm on Thursday, 24 December 2015 and will reopen at 10am on Monday, 4 January 2016. Tickets to shows can still be purchased online during this time at www.riverlinksvenues.com.au.
Shepparton Art Museum
SAM will be closed on Christmas Day (Friday 25 December) and New Year’s Day (Friday 1 January 2016). Other days are as follows:
Saturday 26 December Boxing Day – Open 10am - 4pm
Sunday 27 December Open 10am- 4pm
Monday 28 December Boxing Day Public Holiday Open 1- 4pm
Tuesday 29 December Open 10-4pm
Wednesday 30 December Open 10-4 pm
Thursday 31 December Open 10-4pm
Animal Management
Greater Shepparton City Council Animal Shelter will operate on restricted hours over the Christmas and New Year period, with the Animal Shelter open by appointment only between 3pm on 24 December 2015 and 8.15am on Monday 4 January 2015.
To make an appointment to attend the Animal Shelter during the holiday period, please contact 5832 9700 and select option 1.
Please note the After Hours Ranger is always available on this number outside of Council office hours to deal with emergency situations where there is a risk to the public. Situations that are not emergencies will be dealt with when Council reopens in the New Year.
Childcare/Kinder/Family Day Care
Our Long Day Care services will be closed from Thursday 24 December and re-open Monday 11 January 2016
Family Day Care will close Thursday 24 December and re-open Monday 4 January 2016.
Kindergartens will close the week ending 18 December, depending on session days and re-open the week ending 29 January depending on session days at individual services.

Greater Shepparton Business Centre
Greater Shepparton Business Centre will close from 3.00pm Thursday 24 December (Christmas Eve) reopening Monday 4 January at 8.15am.
Maternal and Child Health Service
All centres will be closed from 5.00pm Friday 18 December 2015.
Open sessions will not be running over this period.
During all other times, a reduced service to cater for new babies will be available at:

Goulburn Valley Regional Library
All libraries will be closed from 12.30pm Christmas eve until Saturday 2 January 2016.
Shepparton and Mooroopna branches will close at 12.30pm on 24 December 2015 and reopen at 9am Saturday 2 January 2016.
Tatura branch will close at 6pm Wednesday 23 December 2015 and reopen at 10am Saturday 2 January 2016.
Library administration will close at 12.30pm on Thursday 24 December 2015 and reopen at 8.30am on Monday 4 January 2016.
Aged Services (Meals on Wheels, Home Care, Personal Care, Social Connections)
Home Care services are NOT available on public holidays. If you have any concerns with regards to Home Care over the Christmas period, please contact your Care Manager.
Please note the following public holiday closures.
Personal Care (showering) will be provided as normal, unless you cancel your service. Please contact your Care Manager by Friday 11 December to advise of cancellations.
Personal Care (shopping) where it falls on a public holiday will be transferred to another day.
Respite Care will not be provided on public holidays. If you have any concerns with regards to respite over the Christmas period, please contact your Care Manager.
Meals on Wheels will continue as usual throughout Christmas for existing clients. Please call 5832 9808 to advise of any cancellations.
Social connection groups:
If you use Social Connection groups as a respite opportunity and require this over the Christmas break, please phone 5832 9785.
