Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Greater Shepparton City Council Empowering Communities Grant Project (the Project) will close Wednesday 15 March 2023. Empowering Communities is about community shaping ways to enhance community safety.
Turning your ideas into action starts with submitting an EOI, which can include a written or video submission, or alternatively presenting your idea for promoting community safety in person.
Submissions should include a description of the project or idea, how the community will benefit and how much funding is requested. We encourage applicants to think big, be bold, get creative and have the courage to make a submission. Ideas can also be matched up with an organisation that will bring your project to life.
There are four funding streams available, ranging from $1,000 and up to $100,000, to support community led initiatives focused on improving access, connection, safety and support for young people in Greater Shepparton.
A group of diverse local community members has been formed to support and implement the Project and will make recommendations around the allocation of funding.
For more information visit Shaping Greater Shepparton, contact the Empowering Communities team via email empoweringcommunities@shepparton.vic.gov.au, or phone Council on 03 5832 9700.
