Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking feedback from community members on the next Katandra West Community Plans, to identify and prioritise projects and activities for the next five years.
A survey is available for anyone who lives, works or plays in Katandra West to have their say and help shape the future of their communities.
The Katandra West Community Plan was developed in 2012 and since its inception, the Committee has worked with Council, State and Federal Departments, organisations and the Katandra West community to complete the new Katandra West Community Centre, develop a welcome pack for new residents to the town, improve the school crossing, install a new town entry sign and light into the Recreation Reserve.
The Katandra West Community Plan Steering Committee, in partnership with Council have conducted a full review of the Community Plan and consulted heavily with the community during March and April of this year to determine what priorities were current for local residents.
A draft Katandra West Community Plan 2018 has been developed from community feedback and includes 14 actions under the strategic areas of community, environment, business, assets and advocacy.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Community Kaye Thomson said “The Katandra West community are invited to provide feedback on the draft Community Plan 2018. We would like to hear about key actions within the plan that you like as well as identifying anything that is missing from the plan.”
Community members are invited to provide feedback by 5.00pm on 8 June.
The draft plan can be found here.
