The Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame visual display of the 27 inaugural Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be unveiled on Friday 31 August 2018 commencing at 6.00pm at Riverlinks, Eastbank.
The visual display marks 12 months since the inaugural Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame event was held. The inaugural Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held on Friday 4 August 2017 at Eastbank, inducting 27 inaugural sports people.
The visual display aims to recognise and celebrate our local sporting history as well as individuals and teams who have achieved sporting excellence and made a significant contribution to their chosen sport.
Coinciding with the launch of the Sports Hall of Fame visual display will be the launch of the Sports Hall of Fame Honour Roll and Junior Honour Roll criteria, with nominations for these two levels announced as open to the community.
To be eligible for nomination and induction into the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame – Honour Roll the nominee must have made a contribution to their sport at the National or State representative level.
To be eligible for nomination and induction into the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame – Junior Honour Roll the nominee must have competed successfully in junior competition at the Australian representative level.
