Are you concerned about the lack of affordable housing in Greater Shepparton? Are you struggling to find a suitable property that fits your needs?
Greater Shepparton City Council would like to hear your thoughts on the Draft Affordable Housing Strategy 2019. The Strategy is being developed to support disadvantaged households and to push for more affordable housing development.
Come along to one of three Community Drop-In Sessions to discuss the Draft Greater Shepparton Affordable Housing Strategy 2019. The sessions will be held:
The Strategy supports homeless and low-income households, funding from the State and Federal Governments, and Affordable Housing in new residential developments.
It also talks about shortfalls of housing such as one and two bedroom dwellings.
Future work will focus on young people, older people, women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and people with a disability who struggle to get affordable housing
Comments and feedback can be submitted until 2 December 2019 via the online form on Council’s website, by mail to Greater Shepparton City Council, Locked Bag 1000, Shepparton VIC 3632, or by email to Council..
Submissions can also be handed-in at Council reception, or placed in the after-hours mailbox next to the front doors of Council’s offices at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.
