Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with the Shepparton East community have developed a draft locality plan and are now seeking feedback from people who live, work or play in the Shepparton East area.
A number of actions have been identified in the plan including a walking track connecting Shepparton with Shepparton East, benches/tables at O'Donnell Park, improving road safety for children and more community events.
Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson said the plan has been developed through extensive conversations with Shepp East locals.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to provide their thoughts and ideas on what they’d like to see develop in Shepparton East,” Ms Thomson said.
A short survey is available from www.greatershepparton.com.au. Feedback will be received until 21 October. If you would like to speak directly to Council’s Neighbourhoods team about the plan, contact Council on (03) 58329700
Community Plans are developed by the local community for the local community. Residents drive the development of the plan through extensive community consultation, resulting in a shared vision for the future and key opportunities and actions for their town, locality, or neighbourhood.
Community plans belong to the community and Council works with the community to implement actions within the plan. Council currently works in partnership with 13 community plan groups across the municipality.
