Public Hearing for Andrew Fairley Avenue

Hearing of Public Submissions - Possible Discontinuance and Possible Sale of Part of Andrew Fairley Avenue, Shepparton

A public hearing on the possible discontinuance and possible sale of part of Andrew Fairley Avenue Shepparton is being held today at 1pm at Eastbank, 70 Welsford Street, Shepparton in front of Greater Shepparton City Council councillors.

There have been approximately 60 people so far that have registered to speak to their submission.

Council received over 1300 written submissions by the 22nd May deadline, over 1000 of these were on pro forma letters.

For each person that outlined in their submission that they wanted to speak, Council staff have made every attempt to try and contact each of these people by phone, email or letter asking them to confirm their attendance so they could be allocated a time during the meeting.

People who wanted to speak but haven't responded or have not been contacted by Council staff are able to register at the meeting and will be allocated a time to speak.

Councillors will now have until a Special Council Meeting on 10th June 2014 to read all submissions including transcripts of the verbal submissions. The meeting will be held at 5.30pm at Eastbank, Welsford Street, Shepparton and is open to the public. The meeting will be advertised on social media, Council's website and in the Shepparton News.
