The Ramp it Up Group are conducting surveys with young people in small towns across Greater Shepparton, seeking feedback on their preferred recreation activities and programs.
The Ramp it Up Committee are community members from the small towns in Greater Shepparton who are passionate about recreation spaces for young people. The group is currently working with Greater Shepparton City Council to examine recreation facilities available in the community and plan for youth recreation spaces in the future.
Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson encouraged young people in small towns across Greater Shepparton to have a say.
“We want to know about your favourite recreation activities, where you take part in these activities and what facilities, activities or programs you would like to see in your town,” Ms Thomson said.
“We want to know what’s important for young people in recreation, so we can plan for facilities and programs for young people in the future.”
Ramp it Up Committee member Janet Batten echoed these comments.
“As a member of the Ramp it Up Committee, I encourage young people to complete the survey so we can capture as much feedback and get benefit from your input.” Ms Batten said.
The survey is available from https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Rampitupsurvey Surveys should be completed by 31 January 2015.
