Located on MacIntosh Street, Shepparton, Furphy Park has been temporarily closed to the public since Monday 17 June to accommodate essential maintenance work.
Due to an increase in the amount of maintenance required, the closure date has been extended to Friday 12 July 2024.
Maintenance being undertaken on the park includes the removal of the current playground fence and equipment, and the installation of new, upgraded facilities.
The park is currently fenced off, with gates locked to ensure public safety, and signage has been placed around the perimeter to keep everyone informed.
Council thanks residents for their patience and support as we work to improve these community facilities and look forward to unveiling the improved playground soon.
