"Snappa" will be returning to our screens in June to remind Greater Shepparton residents only orgainic garden clippings and kitchen scraps go in the green lid bin.
So far in 2016, green waste contamination rates have been poor. May saw 5.72% of green lid bins containing non organic rubbish. February's contamination rate of 2.54% has been the lowest result this year, and still too high.

When you put the wrong things in your green lid bin, it contaminates the entire truck load, and then none of the waste can be recycled. It has to be taken to the landfill, which makes your rates more expensive, and is bad for the environment.
