Local kindergarten celebrates 40 year milestone

On Saturday, local Patricia Smith Kindergarten marked its 40th anniversary and celebrated this milestone with birthday celebrations for the whole Greater Shepparton community.

Past, present and future families, educators and staff as well as all interested members of the community were invited to the celebrations, which included an afternoon of food, children’s entertainment and a cutting of the cake.

Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Children and Youth Services Sally Rose congratulated the kindergarten on reaching their incredible milestone.

“It’s great to see a local kinder around for this many years, with past students of the kindergarten now sending their children there.

“I hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon and I would like to thank the Greater Shepparton community for their support of the kindergarten over the years.

“The afternoon was a great opportunity for everyone to catch up, reminisce and celebrate this amazing milestone,” said Ms Rose.
