Greater Shepparton City Council is encouraging people planning on attending Thursday’s Melbourne Heart FC practice match against Goulburn North East Football Association All Stars to get to the ground early.
Greater Shepparton Mayor Jenny Houlihan said a crowd of more than 2000 was expected.
"People should consider carpooling to the game, as parking is limited," Cr Houlihan said.
"We have bought in additional spectator viewing shelters and temporary seating for around 800 people.
"Gates will open at 5:15pm with pre match entertainment from 6pm.
"This is a rare occasion and a not to be missed event so get along with your family and friends, support our local players and enjoy a fantastic night out."
Full catering services as well as Melbourne Heart merchandise and membership sales will also be available.
There is no BYO alcohol or chairs.
