Greater Shepparton City Council is excited that the Motul MX Nationals will return next weekend for its seventh round at the Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club after a successful previous two years.
With its large segment of motorcycling enthusiasts in the area, Greater Shepparton plays the perfect host for the biggest motocross series in Australia and Council is proud to support this event.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Dinny Adem looks forward to the event returning to our region and is pleased with the benefits it will bring to our local club and community.
“The local Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club does a fantastic job in holding such a high calibre national event and they should be proud and congratulated for their efforts.
“Partnering with the MX Nationals continues to flourish our region’s strong motoring history and further enhances Greater Shepparton as regional Australia’s sporting event capital, stimulating our local economy and keeping businesses busy.
“The event is anticipated to see over 4,000 spectators from all over Australia converge in Mooroopna and we look forward to providing our community with a thrilling event experience,” said Cr Adem.
MX Nationals Series Promoter Kevin Williams is thrilled to be heading to back to Shepparton for the third consecutive year and to have the Council’s support once again.
“The Greater Shepparton region are great supporters of motorcycling, with plenty of participants and fans of the sport in general, so it’s a great location for us to host our seventh round of the championship.
“When we bring the racing roadshow into town we fill hotels, the restaurants are busy and we’re very proud to be able to support local economies with a round of our series.
“The Shepparton Council has always been very supportive of not only our event, but many other National and International events which have been brought into the region. We are very excited to be heading back to Victoria and we’re sure that we will have plenty of local interest when we arrive on July 16,” said Mr Williams.
