We are excited to see the northern end of the Maude Street Mall become available to the community this week for pedestrian movement throughout the new and revitalised space.
The hoarding has now been removed from the existing walkway at centre of the mall through to Fryers Street.
We remind the community that power for lighting will not be available until the end of the project, but that temporary lighting will be in place during that time.
Residual works will be undertaken at isolated areas throughout the north end, but this will not impact pedestrian movement. Vehicles will not be allowed into the Maude Street Mall area until completion of the overall project in November.
We continue to appreciate the patience of the community and retailers, and encourage the community to view the much anticipated open space whilst continuing to shop local.
