PROJECT UPDATE : Shepparton East Retention Basin - Doyles Road

If you’ve ever noticed all the very large pipes on site at Council’s Doyles Road Complex you will soon see them disappearing into the ground.

Work has commenced on enlarging the Shepparton East retention basin located at the Doyles Road Complex near Benalla Road.

Contractors are using laser level controlled equipment to expand the basin’s capacity so it can service the entire Shepparton East catchment area.

The works will include a future wetland system to treat the stormwater from the catchment.

The cost of the upgraded drainage works is $1.35m. VicRoads have contributed $750,000 toward the cost of these drainage works.

Work should be completed by the end of March.
