Today Greater Shepparton Mayor, Cr Dinny Adem presented local student Tahlia D’Amore with a $2,500 Experience Asia scholarship.
Ms D’Amore will travel to Laos for four months to teach English.
The scholarship was awarded in partnership with Council, The Foundation for Young Australians and Global Vision International. The program offers young residents aged between 18 and 20 the opportunity to volunteer overseas in the areas of education, environmental conservation or community development.
Congratulates Tahlia on receiving this scholarship and wishes her a safe and fulfilling experience. Council is proud of you and is confident you will represent your community with distinction.
