Greater Shepparton City Council has awarded Moretto Building Pty Ltd the contract to construct the Small Pavilion at the Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct.
Work will include construction of change spaces, kitchen/canteen, shower and toilets, umpires change rooms, first aid room and concrete tiered seating at the front of the facility.
The small pavilion will cost $1.17 million funded by the Australian Government and Greater Shepparton City Council. Construction is due to be completed by October 2016.
Mawson Constructions will undertake road works on the Numurkah Road turning lane into Brauman Street from the end of May 2016. The works are expected to take four weeks. During this time minimal traffic delays will occur. Council asks residents to be patient while the works are being undertaken.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Dinny Adem said “The Greater Shepparton Regional Sports precinct is now well underway, it is exciting that we will have the Small Pavilion built and ready to use by late October early November 2016.”
“Works along Numurkah Road turning lane will help with traffic entering Brauman Street and improve traffic flow. Council has been working with VicRoads to ensure all the standards are met and adhered to,” said Cr Adem.
Works will include upgrading infrastructure for key sporting codes all located within the precinct.
Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct total redevelopment will include:
