Grade five and six students will learn about native species and pests in our natural environment. Learning about different bugs, environmental art, Indigenous education, native fish and undertake a wildlife walk.
RiverConnect Education Officer Bonny Schnorrenberg said “it’s a great day for the children to learn more about the natural environment and the different bugs and pests that are out and about. We are very fortunate to have a great natural resource such as Reedy Swamp for children to learn, without having to travel great distances.”
“Reedy Swamp provides a great habitat and breeding sites for a number of insects and waterbirds,” said Mrs Schnorrenberg.
