Tatura set to hold new community market

Tatura is set to introduce a new market, with the first pilot market scheduled to take place at Stuart Mock Place on Saturday 4 May 2024.

Greater Shepparton City Council encourages community members and visitors to save the date and enjoy what is on offer. This vibrant new addition to the community promises an exciting range of offerings, perfect for shoppers of all ages and interests.

The market will showcase the best of what the region has to offer. From locally sourced produce, to handcrafted goods and unique finds, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

“We are thrilled to bring the Tatura Market to life. It is an opportunity for our community to come together, support local businesses, and witness the vibrant spirit of Tatura,” Council’s Place Manager, Bonnie McIntosh said.

The market, nestled in the heart of Tatura, will feature an array of stalls offering everything from fashion, homewares and jewellery to artisan crafts and entertainment for all ages. Additionally, businesses along Hogan Street will be open, inviting people to explore the wide variety of retail, food and beverage options available.

“We have worked closely with local vendors to ensure the market has a diverse range of offerings for everyone to enjoy,” Ms McIntosh said.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged residents to join in the festivities.

“We are proud to introduce the Tatura Market as a new attraction for our community and visitors,” he said.

“Events like this are a great opportunity for the community, providing a perfect platform for small businesses to thrive and for locals to connect.”

Residents are encouraged to get out, shop local and enjoy the atmosphere and entertainment at the Tatura Market.
