Greater Shepparton City Council’s Word and Mouth is partnering with Activities in the Park and KidsTown to turn up the scare factor with the return of DeadzTown.
Word and Mouth Project Officer Jim Gow said due to popular demand they were bringing the horror event back.
“We’ve had lots of fun putting on this event however sadly this is the last time we will be running DeadzTown,” Mr Gow said.
In the last two years that Word and Mouth, Activities in the Park, and KidsTown have partnered for this event, it has attracted close to 1,000 people to the zombie playground.
“People love these horror events, don’t ask me to explain it! All I know is that it is like walking through your own zombie film or show,” Mr Gow said.
“We convert a kids playground, of all things, into a horror zone full of undead, special effects and a soundscape to make your spine shudder.
“For the first year there will be a “Scaredy-cat hour” and the zombies will be out in the daylight, instead of the scarier dark, which is a great option for those who may not want to take on the zombies at night.”
Bring your courage to KidsTown Thursday 26 September for DeadzTown III – The Last Supper! Scaredy-cat Hour running from 5pm to 6:30 and the main event for children aged 12 and over kicks off at 6:45pm and finishing at 10pm.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite, and tickets are purchased for a particular timeslot, to reduce large queues. Search Facebook for more details.
Every Word and Mouth event is a fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke free event.
Word and Mouth is a proudly provided by Greater Shepparton City Council.
