Despite the wet weather Council is continuing to undertake maintenance works on foothpaths around the municipality.
In MacIntosh Street in Shepparton existing damaged concrete footpaths were replaced and on Skene Street a new traffic island using recycled plastic was installed.
Manager Transport and Roads Reserves, Malcolm Styles, says the use of the new plastic island causes less disruption to traffic while works are being done. “The semi mountable kerb is quick to install and cheaper than traditional concrete formed islands, so the work is done with minimal disruption to normal traffic flow.”
