Cultural Diversity Week will commence on Saturday 18 March to Sunday 26 March and Greater Shepparton City Council is putting on a variety of events during the week.
Greater Shepparton City Council has partnered with a number of organisations to put together a launch event on Monday 20 March at KidsTown from 10:00am. The event will include performances from a number of groups including local indigenous dancers, students from the Shepparton English Language Centre singing the National Anthem and also dancing and students from Sirius College and Shepparton High School.
There will also be a morning tea and a number of activities from sport to craft, henna to hair braiding. Other organisations such as GV Health and SES will be promoting culturally specific services and information.
Cultural Diversity Week is a time to celebrate by coming together and embracing and sharing different cultures. There are a number of events throughout the week that will continue the sharing and embracing of our richly diverse community.
