Moo-Vengers; ASSEMBLE! Meet Greater Shepparton's Iron Cow!

The latest addition to Greater Shepparton City Council’s Moooving Art herd was unveiled this week: IRON COW.

Inspired by the invincible Marvel comics super hero, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr in the series of blockbuster movies, Iron Cow makes her debut just in time for Shepparton’s Nerdmania Festival.

Local artist Tank devoted 50 hours to creating the fibre glass statue, which features Iron Man's iconic light up chest piece and eyes.

Visitors can take a selfie with the #MooovingArt #IronCow this weekend at #NerdMania2016 along with longtime herd mebers Spider Cow and Bat Cow.

Greater Shepparton produces a large percentage of Australia's dairy exports, making the bovine a natural choice for this unusual exhibition. There are over 90 cows in the MooovingArt herd and they are displayed outside businesses, in gardens, on poles and in buildings including the Eastbank Centre, the Shepparton Visitor Information Centre and the Council foyer.

Local artists transform these sculptures to make each piece unique, or funny, or challenging. Try to spot new additions to the herd. Collect 'sightings' of each sculpture as they are regularly moved to different locations around the city.

Our cow herd is designed to withstand the elements, and you're welcome to pat them, but please be gentle and don't climb on them. We wouldn't want you to be hurt.
