Kaiela Arts Kaiela Dungala (Goulburn Murray) region is home to many talented artists and Kaiela Arts provides an important space for local Aboriginal artists and the community to connect to culture through the arts. Aboriginal Street Art Project Named by locals as ‘Dana Djirrungana Dunguludja Yenbena-l’ which means ‘Proud, Strong, Aboriginal People’ in Yorta Yorta language, this project celebrates local Aboriginal history and culture with murals around Shepparton’s CBD. Bangerang Cultural Centre The Bangerang Cultural Centre is a ‘keeping place/museum’ housing an important collection of artefacts and artworks from Aboriginal communities across Australia. The Flats Located on the floodplain between Shepparton and Mooroopna, this site features interpretative signage that records its history and significance as home to many after the Walk Off from Cummeragunja in 1939
