Assistance programs

We understand that many of you may be facing significant challenges due to the flood. We are actively working with local organisations and state government agencies to coordinate recovery for Greater Shepparton.

  • Windermere Flood Services Support Line - 1800 560 760
If you have been affected by the October 2022 flood, you can receive support for a range of clean-up services, finding a place to stay and financial, mental health and other support.
Open from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Closed weekends and public holidays. Press ‘9’ for an interpreter.
  • Structural assessments, Make-safe
    • The first step to register for a structural assessment is through Emergency Recovery Victoria’s (ERVs) Structural Assessment program.
    • If the structure is found to be repairable, the Make-safe program is free for people whose properties were not insured for flooding.
    • Once your Make-safe works have been completed, you will be issued with a completion certificate.
    • You will then be contacted by ERV, who may tell you about whether you are eligible for other support. Once you apply, it is expected to take approximately four weeks to assess your eligibility for the program.
