Sanctuary Drive / GV Highway Intersection Upgrade and Landscaping Project

The upgrade will improve the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians between Seven Creeks Drive, Sanctuary Drive and the Goulburn Valley Highway and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The project scope also includes the landscaping of Bosco Park at the entrance to the Edgewater Estate. These works will enhance the entrance to the estate and contribute to the amenity of the area.

Background

The project involves extending Sevens Creek Drive to integrate with the existing signalised intersection at Sanctuary Drive and the Goulburn Valley Highway, establishing an additional vehicular access point to the estate and improving network connectivity.

The completion of this intersection will play a part in reducing traffic volumes on existing local streets as well as providing access to the Edgewater Estate via Sevens Creek Drive. The scope also includes the landscaping of the front reserve area known as Bosco Park.

Traffic

Some temporary traffic disruptions are expected during construction. Traffic management measures will be in place to ensure the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists through the work area while construction is underway.

Where possible, the road network will remain open; however, motorists may experience changed traffic conditions, reduced speed limits, lane closures and minor delays at times. Council and its contractors will work to minimise disruptions and will provide advance notice of any significant impacts to traffic access.
