Author Talk at Shepparton Library - Robyn Howarth

Robyn Howarth speaks about her book Faraday: A Community Rediscovered. In 1972, two masked men burst into a classroom and kidnapped the teacher and six students. After 52 years, survivor Robyn Howarth shares her story.

Robyn was 10 years old when she was kidnapped from her classroom in Faraday. Her book recounts her life on the farm, the heinous event, and its aftermath. Robyn tells the story through the lens of childhood trauma and its impact on herself and her family.

It has taken Robyn 52 years to proudly acknowledge her roots in Faraday and her education at Faraday State School 797. Robyn will discuss her book, which will be available for purchase at the event. Refreshments will be provided. Bookings via Eventbrite are preferred.
