The Games hosts approximately 2500 participants across 40+ events. The Games have grown in popularity from their beginnings in Geelong in 1996 with a few hundred participants competing in 17 sports to participants this year competing in 33 sport and recreational activities across 88 different divisions.
The Games are truly the ‘Education Games’ with participants representing Government, Catholic and Independent schools and also early childhood providers. The Games continue to evolve with new sports added each year and proving to be very popular.

Getting Social at the VTG
Sunday Spectacular
Sunday Spectacular at the McIntosh Centre is set to be a huge opening celebration this year with sport, entertainment and a variety of other events on offer. We expect approximately 1500+ people to register during this period and look forward to welcoming them all with an identification card, lanyard and athlete pack. We have a large variety of exhibitors with display information and giveaways available for participants and our 3 sport challenge of Rowing, running and the Temple Brewery Hot Lap Cycling fastest teacher events, as well as spike ball for team competition.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase and people will vie for the title of king and queen of the Hot Lap track throughout the afternoon. Exhibitors with currently confirmed attendance will be;

Each night of the Games is a new night on the social calendar at the GV hotel. This year’s themes are

Trivia
Trivia is a big draw card for evening entertainment during the Games with sell out events on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the GV hotel.
Winery Tour
The VTG Winery Tour is a great opportunity to showcase the Shepparton region and all it has to offer for our participants. There are two tours on offer, on the Monday of the Games visiting two wineries with lunch available at both. The wineries included in the tour are Monichino Winery and Byramine Homestead.
