Approximately 4000 people attended the event on Sunday with numbers up by 15 per cent on previous with visitors coming from NSW, Bendigo and Melbourne.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam said “The festival is its third year and the crowd numbers are proof that this festival is a significant event on the Shepparton calendar.”
“This event is definitely about the food and we are so lucky with the variety we have in our own community. Many of the food providers are simply that, community groups making a few extra dollars for the community,” said Mr Rajaratnam.
“The stage is also a great opportunity for local talent to build their skills.”
“A huge thank you to all involved from stall holders, contractors, businesses, performers and volunteers who helped make the event a success once again,” said Mr Rajaratnam.
