All Abilities Playground closed for maintenance

The All Abilities Playground at Victoria Park Lake will be closed for maintenance from 28 April until 16 May 2014.

Maintenance works to be carried out include:

  • Replacement of rubber surfaces in and around play equipment
  • Replacement of bearers and joist on play equipment
  • Replacement of wooden components of play equipment

Council's Project Coordinator Kelli Halden said the playground has a high level of use and this work will ensure the playground is safe for all users.

"Council recognises the inconvenience to the community but needs to ensure our facilities are maintained to the best standard for our users.

"This work is part of council's annual maintenance program."

In the event of bad weather, the works will be rescheduled.

The All Abilities Playground provides a wealth of play opportunities for children and families of all abilities. The playground is designed and maintained with access as a key priority.
