Greater Shepparton City Council encourages locals who are interested in developing and strengthening their community leadership potential to join the 2022 Community Leadership Program.
The program, which is entering its ninth year, has seen many successful graduates gain crucial skills and take their leadership to the next level.
The Community Leadership Program is a workshop-based program that provides participants with the knowledge and tools they need to be an influential community leader.
The program will involve seven fortnightly sessions commencing in March 2022, along with a program launch and graduation. All of the sessions will adhere with COVIDSafe requirements.
Louise Mitchell, Director Community said the program is a fantastic way to help members of the community enhance their leadership skills.
“Participants will learn about community leadership, communication approaches, public speaking, goal setting and monitoring, understanding community and diversity, reflection and resilience. They will also explore a topic to be decided by the course participants,” she said.
“We hope that members of the community will take part in this great program and we look forward to seeing their leadership develop for the benefit of our community.”
Participants must be aged 18 years or older. Applications close Sunday 6 February 2022.
