Greater Shepparton City Council is disappointed to report one of the three Christmas Moooving Art decorations has been taken from its location by the lake.
Merry Moo, the yellow Christmas cow was taken from Victoria Park Lake early Monday morning between the time of 6.30am and 9.00am.
Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Economic Development, Anthony Nicolaci is encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
“This is a disappointing act to occur so close to Christmas time,” he said.
“Council works with the community to provide festive decorations to have our region looking its best for residents and visitors and this is an act of poor behaviour which we hope can be rectified.”
Council has reported the offence to police and is hoping residents can help safely return Merry Moo back to her herd.
Anyone with information is to contact the Shepparton Police on 03 5820 5777.
For more information on the Shepparton Moooving Art please see the Visit Shepparton website.
