Greater Shepparton City Council’s Tourism Department is currently working on the biennial Official Visitor’s Guide (OVG) which is the most comprehensive tourism marketing tool for region.
Businesses interested in capturing a share of the one million plus visitors to the region per year are encouraged to participate to help increase their business profile.
Tourism Coordinator, Maree Glasson says the Guide is available not only in Visitor Information Centres statewide, but also in tourism attractions around the region and online.
“The OVG provides tourism and hospitality ventures with a fantastic opportunity to promote their business widely in an official guide endorsed by Tourism Victoria,” she said. “Visitors to the area and locals can pick up a comprehensive guide to attractions and things to do in our region.”
Local business operator Nick Zurcas says “The Official Visitor Guide is always included in our marketing because it does a great job of promoting both our accommodation and bistro. It helps people plan their trip and it's a great source of information for when they get here.”
Generous advertising discounts are available to members of Tourism Greater Shepparton.
