Challenge Shepparton now on National Triathlon Calendar

Greater Shepparton City Council is proud to continue its support of Challenge Shepparton, with events like this one strengthening our position as the regional sporting capital of Australia.

This event allows the Council through our partnership with Challenge Shepparton to expose our city to national and international audiences. The event attracted an economic benefit of $3.5m to $4m last year.

The long course event is scheduled for November 13, 2016 and is the only World Championship Qualification Event in Victoria.

The event will provide an opportunity for Elite, Under 23 and Age Group triathletes to earn points towards the 2017 ITU (International Triathlon Union) Age Group World Championships to be held in Penticton, Canada.
