Residents and visitors can now pick up their local Christmas gifts and cards with the Community Christmas Shop located inside the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre.
The Community Christmas Shop brings together several charities which were part of the former Charity Card and Gift shop, which faced annual challenges of finding short term rent-free premises and volunteers.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam said staff at the Visitor Centre approached the charity shop organisers about sharing the centre.
“It’s now a one-stop shop for sourcing local Christmas gifts and cards as well as planning your holiday activities,” Mr Rajaratnam said.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase Greater Shepparton to your family and friends who live outside the area with a fantastic range of cards and unique gifts.”
The charity shop will be open from Monday 14 November between 10am-4pm.
The Visitor Centre is located at 33 Nixon Street and is open from 9am to 5pm.
