The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre is ready for festive shoppers as we rapidly approach the holiday season, with residents and visitors able to source their local Christmas gifts and cards from the Community Christmas Shop.
After a successful season last year, the staff and volunteers of the Visitor Centre will be welcoming back the Community Christmas Shop and are looking forward to sharing the space with the volunteers from Vision Australia, Soroptimist International and Australian Red Cross.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Sustainable Development Geraldine Christou was pleased to see the Community Christmas Shop back for another year and encouraged residents to support local charities and visit the shop to buy their Christmas gifts and cards.
“Give your friends and family from out of town something unique from the Greater Shepparton region this year,” Ms Christou said.
“We will again be sharing the centre with charity shop organisers, so it’s a wonderful way to support local charities during the holiday season.”
The charity shop will be open at the Visitor Centre on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s during Wednesday 14 November and Friday 14 December, 9.30am to 4.00pm.
The Visitor Centre is located at 33-35 Nixon Street (opposite the Queen’s Gardens) and is open daily from 9am to 5pm, but will be closed on Christmas Day.
