Council calling community groups to help wrap presents and spread the cheer this Christmas

Greater Shepparton City Council is putting the call out to local community groups or not-for-profit organisations that would like to spread a little cheer in the Maude Street Mall this Christmas.

Council is seeking applications from groups to wrap presents as a part of its Community Gift Wrapping program.

The successful applicants would receive $250 towards their not-for-profit organisation, plus all gold coin donations over the allocated period.

The successful applicants would be responsible for opening and closing the wrapping workshop. All stock is supplied.

Council’s Place Manager Bonnie McIntosh encouraged local community groups to apply.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for local community groups to promote their service and earn some additional income whilst removing the stress of gift wrapping from our shoppers,” she said.

“The Christmas wrapping service provides even more reasons to shop locally this Christmas and support our local traders.”

If you are available in the lead-up to Christmas please apply by completing an EOI here.

Expressions of Interest will close on 1 November 2019.

For further information please contact Bonnie McIntosh via email or call 5832 9857.
