Greater Shepparton City Councillors were appointed to various community organisations and government agency groups at the December meeting.
As part of the Council’s community consultation, communication and advocacy role, the Mayor, Councillors and officers are represented on various community organisations and government agency groups, as well as groups appointed by the Council.
Greater Shepparton Mayor, Cr Dinny Adem said representation on committees was an important part of the role of a councillor.
“Being part of these committees gives all councillors the opportunity to engage with community members,” Cr Adem said.
“There is such a diverse range of committees and it gives Councillors an opportunity to learn about the many different aspects to our community.”
