Exploring Goulburn Catchment Insights: Webinar Highlights

Goulburn Murray Water, in collaboration with Greater Shepparton City Council, the Bureau of Meteorology, Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority, and the Victoria State Emergency Service recently hosted a comprehensive information session to delivered essential insights for residents and stakeholders within the Goulburn catchment area.

Held on August 3, 2023, Participants gained valuable understanding on various topics, including:

  • the region's upcoming weather predictions and trends, equipping you with the knowledge needed to plan ahead effectively;
  • how Lake Eildon and Waranga Basin are managed to ensure water resources are optimally maintained;
  • floodplain management plans and studies, fostering a safer and more resilient community in the face of potential flooding events;
  • the GB CMA flood portal, an interactive tool offering real-time flood-related data and updates; and
  • flood preparedness and clarity on what the SES/VicEmergency warnings mean, empowering you to respond confidently during emergencies.
