Greater Shepparton City Council invites members of the Bunbartha and surrounding communities to an information session providing a comprehensive update on flood outlook, flood recovery actions, and essential emergency readiness.
The session will be delivered in partnership with VicSES, Goulburn Murray Water, and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority. Session details below:
Council’s Director Community, Louise Mitchell, said Council had hosted several similar information sessions around the region and were looking forward to chatting with the Bunbartha community.
“Council is focused on keeping the community well informed and safe, and this session will provide updates to residents on key areas such as weather forecasts, river levels, and any planned water releases,” she said.
In addition to gaining valuable knowledge on current flood scenarios, attendees will also be equipped with skills to manage basic emergency preparation. There will be a focus on understanding warning messages, their meanings, and familiarisation with the flood levels and flooding patterns specific to the riverine area.
All residents are invited to attend with no need to RSVP.
