Get involved in Converge on the Goulburn

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking interest from local multicultural groups to be part of this year’s Converge on the Goulburn event.

Developed to bring people together celebrating the region’s rich history of migration and the many cultures unique to our community, Converge on the Goulburn is a festival to celebrate multiculturalism and the vital role it plays in our community.

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Sustainable Development Geraldine Christou said the festival brings our community together to celebrate our diverse community through culture, food and performance on show from our local residents.

“This is a great opportunity for groups to showcase their traditional food, activities, performances and lifestyles,” Ms Christou said.

“The festival is an event for the public and by the public, we strongly recommend members from all communities to get involved.”

Expressions of Interest are now available for market stalls, performances and more.

If you are interested in being a part of Greater Shepparton’s own cultural event or would like more information please contact Festival and Events Officer Amelia Slater on 5832 9700 or via email at amelia.slater@shepparton.vic.gov.au.
