Greater Shepparton City Council is organising a tour of Faculty of Engineering, Institute for Frontier Materials and the Centre for Intelligent Systems Research at Deakin University for local manufacturers on Tuesday 11 November 2014.
This tour is aimed at fostering economic growth within the Greater Shepparton region by highlighting the world class innovative research that is being undertaken at Deakin University into manufacturing and processing.
Council’s Manager Investment Attraction Geraldine Christou is encouraging local manufacturers to take advantage of this opportunity.
“The tour is intended to assist major industry within the region to apply the learnings to their current operations and to take advantage of the research that is taking place at the University,” Ms Christou said.
Greater Shepparton City Council will be financing the bus tour to facilitate this unique opening and networking opportunity free of charge to all participants.
