What historical information, landmarks and culture do you believe best reflects the Lemnos community?
Greater Shepparton City Council wants to hear from locals about their reflections of the area to help inspire the design of two new town entry signs. The idea follows similar community consultations which occurred in Bunbartha and Kialla West in previous years to help guide the design of their new entry signs.
The feedback received will be used to create two design options which will be made available to the community for voting. The design which receives the most votes will be manufactured and installed at the entrance to Lemnos.
“Council are excited to get the community involved in helping design these new town entry signs for Lemnos,” Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said.
“We want to know what the community love about Lemnos, what they think best reflects the area and how this can be captured in an engaging entry sign. I encourage all Lemnos residents to get involved and share their creative ideas with us.”
Community members are invited to attend a meeting with the designer and Council Officers on Tuesday 27 September 2022, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, at the Lemnos Recreation Reserve, Tennis Clubrooms, 80 Lemnos North Road, Lemnos.
If you cannot make it to the meeting but would like to be involved, there are a variety of other ways you can provide feedback prior to the closing date of Friday 7 October at 5pm.
You can submit your ideas online via Shaping Greater Shepp, email projects@shepparton.vic.gov.au, call the Project Manager, Rebecca Jeffers, on 5832 9700, or post or drop in your ideas to Greater Shepparton City Council, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton 3630.
