Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking community feedback to help shape the future direction of the Shepparton Showgrounds site.
Council has engaged @Leisure consultants to prepare a refresh of the Shepparton Showgrounds Master Plan and provide a future directions report. This Master Plan will provide a unified vision for improvements to the precinct and inform the future directions of the event site.
This project will consider the aspirations of user groups including the Shepparton Agricultural Society, current and future event organisers, the Shepparton Showgrounds Advisory Committee and Council. It will assess the suitability of the Shepparton Showgrounds for further development, opportunities for multi-use, and guide future events attraction and ageing infrastructure renewal.
As part of the project, an online survey has been developed to gather further information from internal and external user groups of the site and the community. This survey, which is open to the public, gathers information about how often people attend the Showgrounds, what they like about the site, what is needed at the site to meet future community needs and any changes or upgrades they believe necessary.
Council’s Director Sustainable Development Geraldine Christou encouraged residents who visit or utilise the Shepparton Showgrounds site to complete the survey and share their thoughts.
“We would really appreciate people’s input, comments and feedback about the Showgrounds, its features and facilities, and opportunities to increase its sustainability and use for future generations,” she said.
“The online survey should only take around 10 minutes to complete and will provide Council and @Leisure consultants with a better understanding of community wants, needs and desires for the site.”

Please note all answers will remain strictly confidential. Please answer every question. The survey closes at 5pm on Monday 20 June, 2022.
For further information, contact Council on (03) 5832 9700. Please note Council is experiencing a high volume of calls at present and there may be a wait time.
