Hogan Street speed cushions to be installed

In response to safety concerns from Tatura residents, Greater Shepparton City Council will install speed cushions on the approaches to the three pedestrian (zebra) crossings in Hogan Street, Tatura.

These cushions are designed to engage drivers to reduce speed near crossings, allowing vehicles time to stop if a pedestrian enters the crossing.

The proposed cushions are pre-fabricated from recycled rubber and can be installed on top of the existing road surface. Associated warning signs will also be installed.

The works will be carried out this month, with a planned start date of Monday 15 August and are expected to take two days to complete. Some lane closures will be necessary during the works and traffic management will be in place to manage the flow of traffic and minimise the inconvenience.

The map below shows the extent of works being undertaken. Council asks road users to obey traffic management signage during this time and thanks them for their patience while these works are being completed.
