How you can help shape the future of Economic Development, Tourism and Events in Greater Shepparton

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking community input to assist with the development of its Economic Development, Tourism and Events Strategy.

The strategy will assess the opportunities for investment in Greater Shepparton and will provide strategic direction to Council to enhance the region’s economy. The strategy will also identify opportunities for growth and methods of overcoming barriers.

Council’s Acting Director Sustainable Development Geraldine Christou encouraged people to have their say.

“We will be holding stakeholder workshops, one on one sessions as well as seeking feedback via a survey/website. Keep an eye out for more information on how you can get involved,” Ms Christou said.

“The focus of the strategy will be on identifying opportunities to promote investment, visitation and economic growth, all within a constantly changing domestic and international economic landscape.”

Consultation will commence from the week beginning 24 August. Invites will be distributed through existing organisations, publications and contact databases.
